This makes me think of a pair of customer I had at work yesterday. We’d had a load of Scottish kids on school trips in so my register was chock-full of Scottish notes. No biggie, right? Oh no.

I do their transaction and hand them over a Scottish five, one of this nice bright blue ones you guys have.

“Is this real? Why are you giving me fake money? Are you allowed to do this? I didn’t think you did your own money in this park we want something you can use in the real world”

MFEvenmore when I explain to them it’s Scottish money, is perfectly legal and can be used anywhere in the country and they still refuse to accept it and want a different note.

I even offered to run it under the friggin’ blacklight and show them the mark that proves it’s legal money and they can use it.

They only left when a burly dude behind them backed me up and he obviously frightened them into shutting up.
